....en ook dit keer liep het wonderwel goed af.

Het gebeurde gisteravond tijdens een uitverkochte voorstelling van het Gandey's Circus in (of op) Guernsey.
De schade viel mee: voor onderzoek naar het ziekenhuis, slechts licht gewond en hij hoopt vanavond weer op te treden.

Circus performer falls from top of spinning wheel in Guernsey



A circus performer is recovering after falling from a spinning wheel in Guernsey last night.

23-year-old Howie was performing to a sell-out audience with the touring Gandey's Circus when the accident happened.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and he was taken to hospital, but managed to escape with minor injuries.

He is now hoping to be back in action tomorrow.

Ook Crazy Wilson (Krone) is een paar dagen geleden uit het rad gevallen. Hij ligt nog in het ziekenhuis naar het schijnt...

Als het te veilig wordt zal het geen Rad des Doods meer heten...
Als het nooit eens fout gaat, gaat de sensatie er af.
Zekeren is een beetje lastig met dit nummer en een vangnet is geen plek voor.

En als het maar bij "Hals und Beinbruch" blijft en er geen doden vallen.

Our longtime colleague and crowd pleaser Crazy Wilson had an accident this afternoon during his performance on the flying motorcycle.
Crazy Wilson - an absolute specialist in the rotating wheel, is one of the world‘s best acrobats of its kind. Awarded with the silver clown at the Circus Festival in Monte Carlo, he presents his number for 12 years in Circus Krone and delights all of us.
Previously he was for 6 years the main attraction of the world famous Circus Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey in USA.

Een beetje begripsverwarring.
Hals und Beinbruch is een van oorsprong jiddische opmerking en betekent zoveel als 'veel succes'. Nog steeds algemeen gebruikt in de show- en theaterwereld.
En het circus dus.
Want mocht je het letterlijk nemen dan betekent een gebroken hals of nek meestal juist wel een dodelijke afloop.....

Crazy Wilson (Wilson Domingues) liep bij zijn val een gecompliceerde bekkenfractuur op en verkeerde na het ongeval zelfs enige tijd in levensgevaar.
Inmiddels gaat het weer wat beter, Martin Lacey kwam in het ziekenhuis op bezoek:
